Traveling to Taiwan

Taipei, the capital city, is located in northern Taiwan. It is about 40 km from the TPE Airport, where most international flights land. There are two other international airports in Taiwan, TSA Airport in Taipei, and KHH Airport in southern Taiwan. It is very convenient to get to Taipei by public transportation, such as high speed rail, Airport MRT and metro.

The conference venue, Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), is easily accessed via Taipei Metro. Visa Information

All passport holders of any country must have at least six months of validity left on your passport before entering Taiwan. Those who from countries not listed below must obtain visas in order to enter Taiwan. For further details on visas to Taiwan, please see http://www.boca.gov.tw/mp?mp=2.

XRM2020 official invitation letter for visa purpose can only be issued to accepted author or registrant who has completed registration and payment.

 

Visa-exempt Entry (as of 2019/10/3)

The nationals of the following countries are eligible for the visa exemption program, which permits a duration of stay up to 90 days:Andorra, Australia (effective till December 31, 2020), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Eswatini, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Marshall Island, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, North Macedonia (effective till March 31, 2020), Norway, Palau, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tuvalu, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Vatican City State.

The following countries are eligible for visa-exempt entry for 30 days: Belize, Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Nauru, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore.

The following countries are eligible for visa-exempt entry for 21 days (effective till July 31, 2020): Nationals of Russia.

The following countries are eligible for visa-exempt entry for 14 days (effective till July 31, 2020): Nationals of the kingdom of Thailand, Nationals of Brunei, Nationals of Philippines.

Landing Visas

  1. Holders of Turkish passport with validity of more than six months.
  2. Holders of emergency or temporary passports with validity of more than six months for nationals of those countries (except for US) eligible for visa-exempt entry.

Entry Permit for Mainland China (PRC) Passport Holders

For participants holding Mainland China (PRC) passports, it usually takes more than 2 months to process the entry permit. NSRRC will process the paperwork for those who need such a permit. Please complete your registration and fee before 2020/4/15 so that you will have enough time to prepare the required documents.

 

The processing fee for the entry permit must be paid together with the registration fee. Once your payment is made, please contact us via xrm2020@nsrrc.org.tw so we can initiate the process.
