Thank you for joining us at APXPS 2023!

Overview

The 2023 workshop on Ambient Pressure X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (APXPS) will be hosted by National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) on December 5 (Tue.) – 8 (Fri.), 2023 in Taipei. This series of workshops was traditionally held in worldwide synchrotron facilities, with the first one taking place at SOLEIL, France in 2014. Since then, the workshop has been running continuously on an annual basis even in the difficult Pandemic years when the workshop was switched to a virtual format.

The workshop brings together researchers and students to share and learn the latest discovery of employing the APXPS technique in a wide variety of research fields including electrochemistry, interfacial science, catalysis, and materials science.

The workshop will feature talks delivered by plenary speakers, invited speakers, and contributed speakers, poster sessions, a commercial-sponsor session, and a visit to the synchrotrons. The workshop will devote its first two-and-a-half days (Dec. 5 till 7) to the technical programs covering various scientific topics at Chang Yung-Fa Foundation (CYFF) international convention center located in downtown Taipei. On the afternoon of Dec. 7, a relaxing excursion includes a visit to National Palace Museum and ends with a banquet serving fine local cuisine, concluding the program in Taipei. On Dec. 8 morning, workshop participants will be transferred to NSRRC in Hsinchu, with today’s program featuring a town meeting discussing issues related to the future development of the APXPS and a visit to Taiwan Photon Source.

The workshop will proceed in an in-person format due to the difficulty of getting around the time zone difference among the three major continents. With more viable scientific exchange, we believe that your active participation will significantly contribute to the collective advancement of this exciting field. Looking forward to meeting you in Taipei.
